OcuSense is launching TearLab™ Osmolarity, a test intended to measure tear film osmolarity.

Conventional tear testing systems are not suitable for clinical use due to their high cost and complexity, the need for large sample volumes, and the length of time required for testing. OcuSense’s TearLab™ requires nanoliters of tears for testing, significantly reducing collection time and the risk of analytic variability caused by reflex tearing.
Founded in January 2003, OcuSense has raised approximately $17 million in private equity and is a subsidiary of Occulogix, a publicly-traded eye care company based in Boston, Massachusetts. |
